Bushwick Tenant Union Launch Press Release
The Bushwick Tenant Union is proud to announce its official launch, marking a significant step forward in the fight for tenants’ rights and housing justice in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
Our first objective is to connect with tenants renting from Cayuga Capital, CCM Ventures, or Jacob Sacks. Those tenants are encouraged to reach out and join this collective effort.
What Is This In Response To?
This is in response to the increasing challenges faced by renters, including rising rents, rent-overcharges, and aggressive displacement from lack of repairs, the Bushwick Tenant Union aims to empower tenants through solidarity, advocacy, and action.
The Bushwick Tenant Union is a grassroots organization dedicated to advocating for tenant rights and housing justice in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Through community organizing, education, and advocacy, the Bushwick Tenant Union seeks to empower tenants and resist displacement.

The Bushwick Tenant Union will focus on organizing tenant meetings, providing education on tenant rights, and engaging in strategic campaigns to hold landlords accountable. By fostering a sense of community and shared purpose, the Bushwick Tenant Union aims to restore rent-stabilized units in Bushwick.
